An unusal lump in the groin

Nicholas Charles Carter, Martin Dedicoat, Philip Barker

Abstract

A 13 year old girl presented to clinic with a lump in her groin. Initially this was thought to be related to a previous stab injury many years before. At operation however, a smooth mass of lymphoid tissue was found. Histology confirmed this as Giant Follicular Lymph node hyperplasia, otherwise known as Castleman's Disease.
She made an unremarkable recovery
